The Air of Life.

When you are bleeding on the outside what do you do? As soon as you can, you get a bandaid to stop the bleeding.

When your hair or your body is in drastic need of attention, you give it that attention and feel much better afterwards.

But what about when you are really hurting on the inside? (emotionally) What do you do?

Sometimes we think that watching a movie, going out shopping or doing something active will help. Sure it can, but only for a little while, because it doesn’t get to the core of the problem, more importantly it doesn’t heal that hurt.

Now what? You can try human relationships but they are often the source of the problem, and can cause more problems and it is just too much to ask for a single person to hold all your burdens, all your pain.

Well I hope that this will be a challenge and also reassurance for you.

Let me begin with what I do when I am hurting emotionally. I turn to God, and read the bible, spend time with him.

Now many times I have tried other remedies for the pain, people, shopping, and movies. But none of them satisfy and heal the way God does, it is amazing! The words in the bible wrap around my heart and gently heal the wounds.

There are so many, no, too many people that desperately need God! They need his love! All of us do.

He is a wonderful, merciful God. Ask for forgiveness of your sins; tell Him you know that He sent His ONE and ONLY son, into this world to die for OUR sins!

Be saved!

Feel His love!

And breathe in the air of life! :)

Not worthy?

Do you ever feel like you are not worth it?

Do you feel like a fragile broken toy that is of no use than to be thrown away or put in a cupboard? With the fear if anyone tried to help you or just hold you, you would fall apart?

Well even tho I don’t like to admit it, I think I have often felt this way and still do.

I’m not good enough; you can’t fix me emotionally so why would you bother?

What if it’s not about being fixed, but being healed?

Not by finding the right guy/girl or having the perfect kiss, but God!

His grace is an ocean and we are all sinking!

He loves us with so much love that we can’t even grasp it!

When you think or feel you are broken, and there is nothing that can be done, because you don’t think you are worthy.

Think again! Because God’s one and only Son, thinks and knows that YOU are to DIE for!

And yes He proved it didn’t He!? Like I said it isn’t possible to grasp the love that they have for us! Not to mention His grace and mercy!

Man, it is unbelievable that someone like Him! A God! Could ever love a sinner like I! But he does and not only me but you to! He has no favourites and His thoughts toward us are good, so good!

How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.

Psalms 139: 17-18

He is our father and the best!

Unselfish, kind, loving and so good!

Don’t be silly and think the way I do. :)

Though it is good to be humble towards God.

He loves us and wants the best for us, even though at so many times in life we may feel like we are being punished. Stay patient in God, because I’ll bet my life that he has a brilliant plan that comes out of your misery!

Real love

What is it that the world is missing?

Think about it. Every now and then I see it... but usually only in a small way, and it doesn’t last for very long.

I’m talking about love, and not the can you scratch my back and ill scratch yours kind of love. But REAL love!

This Type of love is often thought to be heroism, when one person takes the bullet for another, or puts the burdens of the world on there shoulders simply because that person loves us.

‘You’re just talking about fairy tales and super heroes, no one would care enough to do anything like that for us!’

Ahh, well actually there is and it has been done. God sent is one and only son to die on the cross for us! That is why we celebrate Easter, sometimes with Easter we get so carried away with the Easter bunny and chocolate that we almost forget why we even have an Easter! I mean when I was writing in the dates for my calendar at the beginning of the year, I drew an Easter bunny over the Easter dates, and then I realised, WAIT!! That’s not why we celebrate Easter! Dangit! So I then drew in a think bubble above the bunny of the three crosses. And I actually ended up drawing something very meaning full.  But see what I mean? It is so hard to remember and celebrate things that God and Jesus have done when the world morphs and changes it to suit them. But in saying that there is nothing wrong with eating Easter eggs and celebrating Easter in that way, as long as you know in your heart. :)

Why do we have Easter then?

Well we are all sinners, and because of that we need to ask for forgiveness.  So the unselfish, full of love Son of God, Jesus, died on the cross, he placed our sin’s on his shoulders so that we may be able to have a relationship with God. When Jesus died on that cross it created a bridge for any one seeking God and asking for forgiveness to cross! Isn’t that amazing!? When he died on the cross, he provided us with a means to cross over to God!

That is real love!! But don’t worry, Jesus did die, and did it for us but then three days after, he rose again! He came back from the dead! And rejoined his Father in heaven, he had finished the task set out for him... and now it is up to us to accept and share this undying, unselfish love with the world!

You can find the whole story in the Christian Bible in the book of John.

And don’t forget to dance and sing for the great things done for us! :)

He is a hero! He is love! He is God!

Our Neverland.

What do you do when things go wrong in your life?

How do you escape? Some alone time to keep sane.

Do you lose yourself in a book? A movie? A conversation? Music?

For me it’s definitely my movies, the more magic, adventure and imagination the better, the further away from reality the easier it is to float away.

I had just finished watching Finding Neverland, It’s a tear jerker and based on a true story. Usually movies don’t affect me like this one, but this one is different. It is about the journey of the man who created the story, play and eventually beloved Disney movie Peter Pan.

This man created different worlds and adventures using imagination. He eased the pain of others around him simply by showing them Neverland!

He reminded adults of, faith, believing, fairytales and imagination. And therefore proving that we never want to grow up, we don’t want the responsibilities and boringness of what an adult’s life can be like.

I bet there are many of you who wish against wish that life could really be like this.

Well maybe it can, if you just believe.

Believe in what?

Believe in Jesus and believe in God, faith!

We may not have a Neverland now, but if you have a relationship with Jesus and you have accepted Him  into your heart unselfishly, and given your life for God believing that Jesus died for you. (Then rose again in three days) Then we will have a Neverland, and not just any Neverland, the greatest one ever! Heaven!

It is beyond all the imaginations in every fantasy movie! It is said that we can never imagine the amazing-ness of heaven! So that is pretty cool!

Don’t lose hope! Movies, books, music and daydreaming may ease the pain, but only God can heal!

After you have finished your movie, music or book, what happens? Do you need another one to keep you satisfied? Escaping from reality every now and then is good, but you can’t do it forever.

Life is not meant to be easy, if so it wouldn’t be called life would it? Perhaps a sweeter name.

And facing it on your own was never the plan.

So let God help, or better yet let him take the wheel and be a-part of your life, guarantee it’ll help. :)

Hope at the end of the Rope.

I have been through a pretty hectic last couple of weeks; my life has just been turned upside down!

Every inch of my life feels like it has been falling apart. Friends, family and work! It’s just like seriously!?

But there is one very important part of my life that hasn’t flipped, and that is God!

Throughout the past couple of weeks I have had many emotional fights with myself. I have been trying so hard to see the positive side of all these situations, but I just couldn’t. Only God can do that for me.

And because of all these situations I have been going through, I have been having a hard time getting to sleep at night, just every time I closed my eyes, I couldn’t escape.

And let me tell you a secret... You just all light up at the word secret didn’t you? ;)

Well for a girl who never cries, I have been doing a LOT of crying!

For the past three nights I have just sobbed and reached out to God so greatly! It has been a while since I needed him so badly.

And like always this, strong, loving, merciful God has been my comfort and place to run to.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to vent or make you feel sorry for me, that’s the last thing I want!

And as you are all reading this you will have parts of your life that you are fighting through. No matter how big or small your situation or situations are, they are important and mostly important to God. All I want is to use my experience to help you!

One of the things I have learnt is to be honest with God. For a while I felt that I was drifting away from him, and I didn’t know why, till eventually one night I just cracked and I was completely honest with him. I knew what I needed to say, but I didn’t want to say it because I was so scared of being disrespectful, but after I was completely honest I felt close to him again. He wants to know our thoughts and feelings so that he can help, so be honest! Yet humble at the same time, He is very understanding.

Second thing, it is ok to be weak and have our weak moments, we are human and God totally gets that.

Psalm 103: 14-16

“For he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.”

And don’t be a fool like me and afraid of crying, crying is not a weakness, but a sign of being strong for so long.

Thirdly, don’t be afraid to ask for help, hear is one thing I have huge troubles with, is asking for help. You don’t want people to think you are pathetic and needy so you just leave it, when actually God can work through these people to help you.

On one of the bad nights I was having, I was crying to God asking for help, he then gave me a name of a good friend. So quite late at night I sent a text to my friend saying I really needed a ‘pick me up’ bible verse to help me. This friend has no idea of what has been happening, but he sent through a bible verse, at first I thought I knew the verse and that it wouldn’t help me in this situation. But as I opened my bible, the pages flipped straight to the right chapter, then I knew straight away that this verse would help, I frantically search through the pages to...

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

When I read the words, “I am with you” I just cried... again!! Some may say that the bible is just printed letters, well no! It is far more than that, it is God’s word and words cannot describe how much I have needed His words!

As humans we can survive for a while, but without God, we will crack under the pressure. I have asked and needed help from God so many times and each time he has given me the fuel to go on.

Don’t be afraid to re-fuel.

God can handle it and will handle it, you just gotta have faith. :)

I pray that God will give you all the strength you need to carry on! xo.

When we are at the end of our rope, we are never at the end of our hope.
